That’s right! Drinking a moderate amount of red wine can reduce your risk of developing dementia. In fact, a study published in the The Journal of Neuropsychiatric Disease and Treatment found that moderate red wine drinkers have a 23% lower risk of developing dementia compared to people who rarely or never consumed red wine. The abundant amount of resveratrol in red wine reduces the stickiness of blood platelets, which helps improve blood flow in the brain and thus brain metabolism which keeps the brain sharp.

According to a study published in the journal BMC Medicine, drinking 2-7 small glasses of wine can lower your risk for depression.
