Grown near Gheme in Piedmont, this 100% Nebbiolo comes from soil enriched by the melting Monta Rosa glacier. A rough start to the year ended with a great August, overall the wine is comparable to the 2010 release. A serious, but approachable wine, strong coffee flavors and an earthy finish. Drink alongside grilled radicchio and flank steak.
