David Rossi's wine making hobby became a passion, and with the help of his wife, Christinna, David turned pro in 2003. David contracts with vineyards in Anderson Valley (Mendocino), Sonoma Coast, Russian River Valley, and the Chalone AVA of Monterey for the grapes from specific rows of vines for his top-line Fulcrum wines. The On Point wines come from the same vineyards but represent the lesser barrels. His Cloisonné wines are from purchased grapes. Unlike many Pinot Noir producers, who age their wines less than 12 months to make room for the next vintage, Rossi ages his Pinots a minimum of 15 months, adding to both the quality and the cost.
