Three separate reports from Iowa State University Dietary Guidelines for Americans. and the University of Central Florida at Orlando, have linked wine consumption to increased longevity, lowered risk of Alzheimer’s disease, decreased risk of pulmonary disease in men, decreased risk of dementia and other health advantages.
Some research has found that the polyphenols in red wine, like resveratrol, can increase levels of good cholesterol and protect the blood vessels’ lining in your heart.
While we see most of these studies covering the same topics, the evidence is quickly mounting and reinforcing data first speculated on during research into the Mediterranean diet.
